Floyd Mayweather Jr. beats Conor McGregor in the 10th round

Floyd Mayweather Jr., the face of boxing for more than a decade, punctuated a stellar yet controversial career with a technical knockout over U.F.C. champ and first-time boxer Conor McGregor on Saturday night.

In the 10th round of a surprisingly competitive fight, Mayweather backed McGregor onto the ropes with a series of rights and lefts. McGregor’s face was completely bloodied. He was about to fall through the ropes, and the referee stepped in to stop the fight with 1:55 remaining in the round.

“I gave the fans what they wanted to see,” Mayweather said after the fight. “I told them that I owed them for the Pacquiao fight. I must come straight ahead and give them a show.”

The victory improved Mayweather’s record to 50-0, and allowed the typically defensive fighter to say farewell in thrilling fashion in what he said was his last fight. It also proved right the naysayers who said that this fight was nothing more than a glorified, money-making exhibition.

“This was my last fight tonight ladies and gentlemen, for sure,” Mayweather said.

Mayweather declared the fight was not going to go the distance, and he delivered on that promise. Things went just the way most pundits said they would. McGregor had no way of connecting cleanly with Mayweather. He landed a few touch punches but nothing solid the entire fight. And given that U.F.C. fights are much shorter than boxing matches, McGregor’s stamina was in question. And he certainly tired in the late rounds as Mayweather made easy work of him.

Asuka Bids Farewell to NXT: Relinquish her Title

NXT Women’s champion Asuka relinquished her title at the recent NXT television tapings. The Japanese superstar had apparently suffered a collarbone injury after her match against Ember Moon at TakeOver: Brooklyn III.

After the tapings, WWE went on to officially announce the news on their website but the exact reason for Asuka’s decision was not revealed.

Asuka received a warm farewell from the NXT locker-room as they came out and paid their respect. Triple H and NXT General Manager William Regal were also in attendance for the segment.

Regal also noted that he has started negotiating with Daniel Bryan and Kurt Angle about possibly sending Asuka to Raw or SmackDown Live.

The 35-year-old had made her NXT debut at the September 2015 NXT tapings and went on to capture the NXT Women’s championship from Bayley back in April 2016. Asuka then went on to become the longest reigning Women’s champion.

Her reigns lasted 510 days and she remained undefeated throughout this time frame as well. Her streak was also used as a major storyline point by WWE during her matches.

The immediate future of Asuka and the championship is unclear. However, the earlier report from WWE suggested that she will need around six to eight weeks to recover from her collarbone injury.

Meanwhile, advertisements suggest that Asuka will be part of WWE’s upcoming Japanese tour.

ASUKA VS EMBER MOON AT NXT TAKEOVER:BROOKLYN

Just a day before Summerslam we witnessed The Empress Of Tommorrow goes one on one against Ember Moon.This Match was as special as it was builded.The Empress of Tommorrow Asuka Won it cleanly against Ember Moon.In What was a point to note is that Asuka's Reign as a NXT Women's Champion goes to 502 days and counting.We hope to see Asuka coming to the Main Roster as soon as Possible.Overall this NXT PPV was Amazing.Hope to See a good PPV tommorow at Summerslam.

WWE Summerslam Predictions

1. WWE Championship
  Shinsuke Nakamura is going to have a one on one match the current WWE Champion Jinder   Mahal.
  and it is all set for the king of strong style to Shinsuke Nakamura win his very first WWE    championship on the main  roster and that too WWE Championship.Rumours are that AJ Styles and  Shinsuke Nakamura is all  set to face one on one at Wrestlemania and this could be an opportunuity  for Styles.

 2.WWE Universal Championship
   Its a fatal four way match between Roman Reigns,Brock Lesnar,Braun Strowman and Samoa         Joe and its going to be one hell of a fight but Brock Lesnar here have a high Chance to retain his       title as he is the taping master of WWE and he can provide a 5 star match in the near future.
  Roman Reigns might get his chance but as for now Lesnar is likely to retain.

 After last week we saw on smackdown live that Baron Corbin unsuccessfully cash it in his MITB Contract and we might get here the lone wolf to win against Cena because Cena will be going to RAW a week after Summerslam and Corbin could be the Winner here.

WWE Smackdown Live Review 16/08/2017

Smackdown live had a great  show overall in this week.We saw tensions rising betwwen AJ Styles,Kevin Owens and Shane Mcmahon when Kevin Owens hit accidentally a superkick to Shane Mcmahon.The Bids are high of  AJ Styles retaining the U.S Championship.

In what was a major discussion of this week show was that Baron Corbin Cashed in his Money in the Bank Contract and failed to pin Jinder Mahal. John Cena was facing Jinder Mahal in a non title match and he delivered an AA from the top rope to Mahal when Corbin interrupted him and cashed in and failed to pin.

Shinsuke Nakamura confronted Mahal and said that this Sunday will be his day.

Randy Orton hitted an RKO Outta nowhere when Rusev was about to address WWE Universe.
The fued between these two seems to be an interesting one.
