Following his release, Fulton (real name Jacob Southwick) issued a statement on Twitter.
Fulton talked about how he was trying to come back from an injury,
but just couldn't get over the hump. Despite the release, Fulton
seemed upbeat about his future.
"I'm not ashamed of being released by any means, I held nothing
back and at the end of the day, I'm happy to leave with my head
held high. I'm going to continue to work hard as possible and learn
all I can in wrestling, nothing changes but the name."
He's only 27, so there's tons of time for him to work his way back
to WWE if he wants to get back there. It seems that Fulton is
taking this release in stride, which is good. I think a lot of people
forget he was an original member of Sanity, as his departure came
within a few months of his arrival to the group. It'll be intriguing to
see what he does in his post-NXT life.Fulton is now a free agent,
meaning he can wrestle anywhere he'd like to.
