While news reports have reported that Akshay Kumar along with Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh have come closer to play the lead role in Dhoom 4, an industrial source now confirms that Khiladi Kumar has been finalized for the role. Previously, John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, and Aamir Khan played the antagonists in the first three films of the Dhoom series, respectively.
An industrial source confirmed to Bollywood analyst Atul Mohan that Akshay Kumar won the race to become the next "bad guy" in Dhoom 4. He turned to Twitter to inform fans.
He wrote: "A highly positioned source revealed that #AkshayKumar has been confirmed for # Dhoom4. We await the official announcement soon."

This is not the first time that Akshay Kumar's name appears as the main contender for the role. Previously, in October last year, a news release confirmed that the actor was part of Dhoom 4.
But later, Yash Raj Films, in a statement, discarded the reports and claimed that no such developments occurred. The statement read: "Dhoom's article to get the Khiladi touch? Printed at noon today is absolutely wrong and unfounded. Dhoom is an extremely important franchise for us, but at the moment we don't have an idea or a script for Dhoom 4 We are always available to clarify each of the questions and we ask you to double-check the stories with us well in advance so that we can provide you with all the precise data. "
The above report suggested that Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, who were part of the three Dhoom films, may not appear in Dhoom 4. He also claimed that former Miss World Manushi Chhillar could play the female lead in the next film.
In 2018, it was also reported that Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh were considered for Dhoom 4.
Shah Rukh Khan's name also appeared in the headlines for the same reasons in 2017. While Salman never made it clear if the speculation was true, SRK excluded the rumors.
