VIJAYAWADA / KAKINADA: all ready for the inauguration of Disha's first police station in Rajamahendravaram by Prime Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday. At 10:30 PM, the CM will open the police station, one of two police stations in the East Godavari district. The second will arrive in Kakinada. After interacting with interested officials, the Prime Minister will address the Disha seminar and police officers from the 18 Disha police stations that have been established across the state.
According to DGP Gautam Sawang, police officers from different cadres will be appointed to each Disha police station. Special laboratories and separate prosecutors will also be designated to test cases. Special training will be provided on how to deal with cases of violence against women.
In addition, CM will launch the Disha application, which helps women and girls in difficulty communicate with the police.
