Asked if he is a Hanuman bhakt, Kejriwal sings Hanuman Chalisa

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, when asked if he was a "Hanuman bhakt", quickly told a television channel that he was and even starred Hanuman Chalisa in front of an audience that encouraged him.

Before the elections to the Delhi assembly, Arvind Kejriwal, who is fighting for a second term in Delhi, also claimed to be a regular in a Hanuman temple on Delhi's Connaught Place (CP).

As the audience laughed, Arvind Kejriwal drank from a glass of water and quickly started singing while the crowd applauded.

When asked if he could sing Hanuman Chalisa, the head of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said he knows the verse by heart but is shy because he is not a good singer.

Delhi will go to the polls on February 8, which is promoted as a contest between Arvind Kejriwal and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, since the main opposition party, BJP, has not appointed a CM face for the election. BJP has said it will fight in the Delhi elections under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
While several BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Modi, Amit Shah, and Yogi Adityanath, led a fierce campaign against Arvind Kejriwal's government in Delhi electoral rallies, AAP focused its campaign on Delhi-related issues, for example, free electricity, education, and roads.

Prime Minister Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath said Sunday that Pakistan and Arvind Kejriwal suffered when the provisions of article 370, which conferred the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, were repealed.
BJP also turned the anti-CAA protest and the roadblock to Shaheen Bagh into a matter of voting while qualifying Kejriwal as a terrorist. Adityanath also said: "The BJP is working with zero tolerance for terrorism. But Kejriwal is committed to sponsoring and offering Biryani to Shaheen Bagh." BJP MP Parvesh Verma has called Kejriwal a "terrorist".
On the other hand, Kejriwal confronted Amit Shah and said as interior minister that he should try to improve the situation of law and order in Delhi and stop shooting incidents like Shaheen Bagh and Jamia Nagar.

Elections come and go, but for the sake of Delhi, improving the situation in the national capital, Kejriwal urged Amit Shah.
